Open research aid (WHK) positions (f/d/m) at Chair & Place Beyond Bytes
We are looking for a research aid (d/f/m) at the Place Beyond Bytes in Duisburg-Ruhrort or Chair in Essen (Weststadttürme)
These tasks are to be expected:
Support in research on health data, and participation in PLACE BEYOND BYTES with a focus on:
- Opportunity to help shape the digital infrastructure of the PLACE BEYOND BYTES, especially in the area of virtual (web) servers and machine learning capabilities
- Support in the organisation and implementation of digital events in the PLACE BEYOND BYTES
- Collaboration in the further development of the PLACE BEYOND BYTES for start-up teams, often in close cooperation with organisations and companies from our start-up network
Your profile:
- Completed Bachelor's degree in business informatics, computer science, economics, business administration or similar and enrolled at a German university
- Good to very good knowledge of written and spoken English (good knowledge of German desirable)
- Knowledge of data science, software engineering, statistics or entrepreneurship would be advantageous, but not a prerequisite
- Development with Python advantageous, but not a prerequisite
- Interest in data analysis or machine learning desirable
- Reliability, organisational skills, dependability, an independent way of working and high commitment
Date of appointment: as soon as possible
Contract duration: 6 months (with option of extension)
Working hours: 10 - 15 hours per week (by arrangement)
Workplace: Workplace in the PLACE BEYOND BYTES on the Haniel campus in Duisburg-Ruhrort (Dahlbender Villa) or in the Weststadttürme in Essen.
