Breaking news: SUST Chair introduces new research associates and research aid!

We are delighted to announce the arrival of four exceptional individuals to join our University Chair team. These distinguished Research Associates and Research Assistants bring a diverse range of expertise and knowledge to our esteemed institution, further strengthening our commitment to innovative research and academic excellence.Let's get to know our new members. Starting with our new Research Associates Mahnoor, Anne-Marie and Tomasz:

 

Mahnoor Shahid, who holds a Master's degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Machine Learning from Saarland University.  With three years of experience in software development, data analytics and digital transformation, and two years as a research assistant at DFKI (German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence), Mahnoor brings a wealth of expertise to our University Chair. Her targeted research areas revolve around digital innovation for a sustainable future using machine learning. Mahnoor's expertise and passion for combining data science and sustainability make her a valuable addition to our team.

Annemarie Bloch, an interdisciplinary scholar, holds an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and a B.A. in Culture and Economy from the University of Mannheim, Germany. Before returning to academia, Annemarie gained invaluable experience working in different contexts and countries. Most recently, she worked at the Digital Entrepreneurship Hub at the Free University of Berlin, where she made significant contributions to entrepreneurship education. Annemarie's research interests revolve around regenerative entrepreneurship, socio-ecological transformation, digital technologies for the common good, and Web3 actors oriented towards regenerative or sustainable innovation. She is passionate about creating social and environmental impact while enjoying nature.

Tomasz Waliczko, a distinguished graduate of the Double Master of Science in Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (IMES) programme run by the Technical University of Berlin and the Warsaw School of Economics. Tomasz is currently a PhD student at the Technical University of Berlin. With several years of professional experience in international relations, business development and consulting for companies entering Eastern European and Central Asian markets, Tomasz brings a wealth of knowledge to our University Chair. In particular, he volunteered with a Brazilian NGO in Vitoria, where he played a key role in supporting local communities. Tomasz's main research interests include international entrepreneurship, international relations, SDG implementation and e-commerce.

Luckson Chandrakumar, our new research aid, who is currently studying for a Master's degree in Information Systems Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen, joins our University Chair with a strong background in programming. With four years of experience as a working student in the field, Luckson is well equipped to support our new chair and the Place Beyond Bytes incubator. His research interests lie in the interaction between technology and entrepreneurship, particularly in the context of solving sustainability problems. Luckson's commitment and expertise make him a promising addition to our team.

We warmly welcome Tomasz, Annemarie, Mahnoor and Luckson as they embark on their research journey with our University Chair. Their expertise and passion will undoubtedly contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and advance our understanding of important topics such as international entrepreneurship, sustainable innovation, and digital transformation.
